We had a nice experience at Peppers Lake Tekapo. We got the one bedroom mountain view villa. It was a large apartment with a full kitchen and dining space. Bed was extremely comfy. Very clean and tidy. Very happy and would be back again. The only thing we didn’t have a great experience with was the restaurant the food wasn’t the best. Staff were all very lovely.

Lovely resort close to the Lake front of Lake Tekapo. We stayed in a unit which had a pull out double sofa bed and well equipped kitchenette on the top floor .On the ground floor was the bedroom with twin bed and the bathroom. Entire accomodation was big and clean. Under the staircase was even a washing machine. The accomodation is more suited for long stays.We really liked the spacious feel of the cottage styled accomodation. We didn't use the restaurant.Everything one would need was stocked in the room . The bathroom had a bath tub and shower. Overall a wonderful property and we enjoyed our stay here. May be bit pricey but then its a big place that they are giving you.Ideal for families.

The Peppers Bluewater Resort was wonderful. From the smiling welcome from Kate at reception to the outstanding service from Aaron from the bar and restaurant. Our stay was great. Our room was upgraded to a Lake view which was awesome. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room facilities were spot on. Our room was spotless. The food at the restaurant”Rakinui” was magnificent. Thank you Bluewater Resort LakeTekapo

Inconvenient Design

Our room was located near reception, but once when we walked to the lake and came in by the opposite side of the "resort" we had lots of difficulty finding the room. They could use better signage. The room had 2 levels. Upstairs was a tiny bedroom and bathroom. While clean, they were not convenient and lacked enough electrical outlets without unplugging the television. We asked for 2 twin beds but our bed was made into a king. Housekeeping was gone by the time we discovered this, but the front desk did give us additional sheets so we could remake the bed ourselves. There was no space upstairs for our luggage, so we left it on the lower level and had to dress, etc. downstairs. The lower level had a small kitchen and living area which would have been nice for a family, I suppose. We were only there one night on a tour and found it to be very inconvenient. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant, but the food was mediocre. The best thing about this resort is the location, an easy walk to the beautiful lake as well as to several shops and a grocery store.

It was good stay with good location. I liked everything there except 2 - 1. They don't have any good vegetarian options in their dining menu 2. They don't help you with luggage and expect you to carry your luggage yourself on the second floor without any lift.
